Game Elements

Image
Reading this article really made me think of all the different elements that go into making a game such as design, art and audio, coming up with your own game ideas and all those different elements much be very difficult. the importance of visuals in gaming is also very important because like food it has to look appealing for us to eat it or in this case play it, i know that this is the case for me for games like Call Of Duty, Fifa etc.  The article also brought up the fact that design is getting a bit stale when is come to gaming and i would have to agree, as an avid gamer I'm yet to see a game that breaks the conventional rules of game design. i fond it interesting when he talked about the fact that game designers need to develop the vocabulary and go more in depth into what really makes a game fun rather than just saying  ' "fun" or not "fun" '. Time Strategies

what i usually do when making a schedule for modules is that i look at how much work they require the most attention and i base my schedule off of that. it has really helped me so far with my grades and i don't fell to over worked. In the past i would have given every module the same level of attention, but that's just not the way i work, i tend to work a lot more on things that i have a genuine interest for so t doesn't really fell like work. ( Posted notes for scheduling ) I found this article helpful because it talks about the importance of taking a break when things get too stressful, and the importance of taking advantage of your break and going completely off the grid.

I personally have never heard of 'Padlet' and 'WordPress', but I've heard of Unity because I've played multiple game that where made from that development tool. I'm looking forward to developing my skill and improving them them to the point where i can make a legitimate game that people can play and enjoy. ( Unity logo )

Assignments

I think i am most intrigued about the semester long project that we have to do by our self's, and which direction I'm going to take with it , i am also very interested in the Unity based assignments and developing a game to make. And lastly being able to see what other students are writing about and their thoughts on the assignments will be interesting and I'm looking forward to it.   ( Game Development )

Growth Mindset

Image
Before this video i had never heard of Carol Dweck and the growth mindset before, i personally see my self in the growth spectrum but its just putting in the effort to achieve those results that i need to improve on. I've learned that high results are always possible for any module as long as you put in the work and and set yourself goals to achieve. when it come to learning new things i can be a slow learner, but once i understand it i wont forget it. my goal for this semester to to try to enjoy it more and really try to take in what all the lectures are saying  ( Fixed v Growth )

Introduction to a future Designer

My name is Faruq Moradeyo a I'm currently a creative digital media student in TU Dublin. My favorite module I took in first year was design process, web design, and photography. I really liked design process because it thought me that sometime their is a process that the best ideas are made through a certain process. i really liked photography because it thought about that different way's of taking a photograph and different style's and approaches to taking a photo. i really liked web design because it thought be about catering to  what someone might be looking for in their website and how to make the color scheme match what the site is about. My goals for this module is to learn as much as i can so i can develop mentally and creatively, so i can become good enough to create great website and design logos and posters for companies. over the summer i went to Algarve which is in Portugal it was beautiful and i had a lot of fun there. The best movie that i have watched pro

The topic of  how traffic lights work was a totally new thing for me, and it really opened my eyes to how traffic lights work. Traffic lights are essentially facing each side of an intersection when the light is green that lane can cross, when the light is red the lane cannot cross, and the amber light mean that the light is about to change from green to red. I felt like the delivery could have been a bit better, i like the fact that we were put in a group to work together, but i didn't learn very much in the form of how traffic lights work on a flow chart, i found it quite confusing. Maybe we could have watched a video that better explains the process of traffic lights.  which i guess actually work in my favor because i then decided to do my own research on how traffic lights work.  when entering an intersection there are three directions a car can go, North and South can go  (Left, Straight, Right). For Example the left turn for North and South are able to move together with

Favorite Game

FIFA is my favourite game franchise and i have been playing it since 2011, when FIFA 12 came out. They have had some ups and downs with the community since then, with fans not being happy with the implementation of micro-transactions and the bad game-play mechanics of the game.  But for the first time in years they have been very active with the community in asking what changes needed to be looked at in the game. After receiving  feedback from the community, it was clear that the biggest hurdle that EA had to overcome was the game-play. FIFA 19 which came out in 2018 was the most inconsistent game-play that the community and i personally have ever played.  (EA Sports Gamescom 2019) With FIFA 20 EA are trying to capture all the fans that they lost with a fresh out-look on the game-play features and an increased level of creativity, they have even created a new game mode called 'Volta Football' which is like a reincarnation of another one of EA's popular games, &

Today I'm going to be talking about my favourite match that took place in this weeks champions league group stage matches. Liverpool lost 2-0 away to Napoli, Liverpool were unlucky not to score, but could have been a bit more clinical with there chances in front of goal with Liverpool having the majority of the shots, with 7 shots but only 3 on target, while Napoli on the other hand took their chances brilliantly with 5 shots on goal one of them being a penalty given away by Robertson in the '82' minute .     Dries Mertins scored the penalty for Napoli which initially grazed of the hand of Adrian, but the power of the strike was too much and so it went into the back of the net. The second goal for Napoli then came from Fernando Llorente who slotted his shot to the bottom left corner of the net in added time. Overall this game was brilliant to watch as a neutral.
