Reading 4 learning about how to research on certain topics such as 'Discursive Writing' was interesting because it teaches you about identifying your points of discussion among topics. it also teaches you about intersecting the different topics rather than reviewing them one by one as a separate topic.  First, we are supposed to start with an argument by telling the reader the conclusion we have reached from the sources, talk about analysis instead of description, and using certain words such as although, though, due to, by etc. Secondly, we had to be unbiased and consider outside just the facts given, and show that we have examined the sources in relation to one other, then compare, evaluate and synthesize sources.                                                          (How I feel) Then I had to provide a conclusion from multiple studies, by summarizing, paraphrasing, and quoting techniques. Doing research(Reading) I for one never knew that there were different ways of reading, so I found the different topics quite interesting. I learned about active and passive reading and learned that active readers are more likely to use techniques to engage critically with the text, and take into the account the author's approach and the source's significance. I also learned that passive reading is done with a critical mindset and how it can be helpful when learning about a certain topic, and also builds up your knowledge.                                                                         (Reading) I found the part on the 'Active note-taking' quite interesting, it talks about seeking out connections, relationships, and processes. It also talks about trying to summarize the text into your own words. Brainstorming questions that you would like to answer, was something that I never really thought of doing also, and I thought that the was a good idea, and al

unity tutorial 2

Unity Tutorial I really enjoyed doing the unity tutorial because at the start it gives you a step by step on how to set up your account if you have never signed up with unity, I also liked the way every video is short and easy to digest and gives an overview at the end of each video of everything important he did. So I never felt confused about what I was doing. I also really liked how it conveniently had the asset packages on top of the page so you can download it easier. I also really liked the fact that he gives you all the little tips and tricks that I didn't know about when I first started unity, for example, W A S D whilst clicking the right mouse button, to navigate through the world.                               (UNITY) positioning items in the world using the sidebar was also something I found handy to learn about on this tutorial if you have lost the position of your item on unity pressing the 'F' key will focus on the item you're looking for

Positive & Negative Psychological Effects of gaming  The research topic I have chosen is the positive and negative psychological effects of gaming. I think that this can be a very broad topic, because it has a lot to do with the gaming climate that we currently live in today, with video game addiction becoming very common among teens . This topic will also be relevant to other researcher's investigations's the topic of 'Progression Mechanics', and the Internal Economy. These are both very important because these two topics might be what is making certain gamer's addicted . There are a lot of articles and videos on the internet, that talk on the subject of the Negative and positive sides of gaming.                          (Angry teen gamer)         When it comes to researching this certain topic, there is definitely a differing in opinions with this topic, so it should be interesting to see the different variables between researchers.
